Project Director
Joel Brenner, a senior real estate, design, and construction executive, boasts over three decades of experience leading complex development and renovation projects. As a registered architect, his portfolio spans mixed-use developments, commercial office, and luxury residential projects. He has managed budgets up to $2.8 billion and facilities up to 2.3 million square feet.
His expertise lies in managing project programming and design, presenting feasibility studies, and implementing intricate design and construction processes under tight schedules and budgets. He is proficient in both architectural design and construction management, covering core/shell and interior work.
Joel, a strong advocate for collaboration and mentorship, excels in uniting teams on demanding projects. He bridges the gap between clients and project teams to ensure mutual dedication to success. By recognizing and leveraging each team member’s unique strengths, he fosters an environment of trust and accountability. Joel believes in the power of open communication and teamwork to keep projects on track, balancing timelines, budgets, and quality.
Recently, Joel held the position of Senior Vice President and head of real estate development for a global asset management company, managing over $50 million in annual capital budgets. Prior to this, he led international capital projects for a multinational finance and insurance corporation, overseeing the design and construction of real estate assets. He also spearheaded design and construction strategies for a major media and entertainment company, including its corporate headquarters and global broadcast facilities. Earlier in his career, he managed all U.S. real estate projects for a worldwide auditing and financial services firm. Additionally, he supervised development projects for a private equity company, served as the director of capital projects for a leading global bank, and managed office design and construction for a prominent investment banking firm.
Joel earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design. He is a registered Architect in New York and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
